LGBTQIA+ Program

Recover as your whole self.

At Beit T’Shuvah, every person deserves a home where they can recover as their whole self. Our LGBTQIA+ program offers a safe, nurturing residential community where gay, queer, and trans residents are seen, supported, and celebrated at every stage of their recovery.

The Program

Each week, we hold groups created specifically for our gay, queer, and trans residents. These groups give residents a place to talk openly about the parts of their lives and their recovery that are shaped by their identity, among peers who understand those experiences firsthand. From our closed and open process groups to our LGBTQIA+ history and art therapy group, we make sure that our clients have every opportunity to discover themselves and build community. Recovery asks people to be honest about who they are. These groups make that honesty easier by giving residents a room where they don't have to explain or defend themselves before they can begin the real work.

The Support

We also have dedicated LGBTQIA+ staff who work closely with our clinical team to make sure each resident’s care reflects who they are. Beyond treatment, we help residents build connection within the community through activities, outings, and LGBTQIA+ focused 12-step meetings. Recovery is not something anyone does alone, and we are committed to making sure our residents leave here with a community that knows them and celebrates them for exactly who they are.
