Right Action Gambling Disorder Treatment Program
Comprehensive Treatment for Gambling and Co-Occurring Disorders
The Growing Need for Treatment
The Warning Signs to Look For
Betting Is Always Within Reach
Online gambling, sports betting, and predictive markets are more accessible than ever, creating constant access to the next bet.
Chasing Losses
Betting more to win back what’s gone, and failing again and again to cut back or quit.
Secrets & Hidden Debt
Lying about gambling, hiding activity, or money problems from your loved ones.
Digital Dependency
Device-based access and addiction cause constant exposure and risk.
Gambling to Escape
Using betting to numb anxiety, depression, or stress.
Trading Can Be Gambling Too
Day trading, options, and crypto have the potential to become compulsive behaviors just like visits to the casino.
What Treatment Includes?
The Right Action program combines evidence-based clinical care, spiritual guidance, and the support of a recovery community. Each resident receives an individualized plan that treats gambling disorder alongside any co-occurring mental health or substance use concerns, and addresses the financial, relational, and emotional effects of addiction.
Trauma-informed individual psychotherapy
Individual therapy helps clients understand and heal the underlying experiences that contribute to compulsive gambling. Clinicians use a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety, trust, and each client's readiness.
Specialized gambling counseling and process groups
Licensed Clinicians experienced in gambling disorder lead individual and group sessions addressing compulsive betting, loss-chasing, and the shame that often accompanies them. Process groups give clients a supportive peer community for accountability and honest reflection.
Spiritual counseling & community support
Grounded in Jewish wisdom and welcoming to people of all faiths and backgrounds, spiritual counseling helps residents reconnect with meaning and purpose. No matter anyone's religious beliefs, addiction is a spiritual malady. Our specialized spiritual counselors are trained to guide clients through the soul work that leads to long-term recovery.
Psychiatric evaluation & medication management
Each client receives a comprehensive psychiatric assessment for co-occurring conditions such as anxiety and depression. When appropriate, medication is prescribed and monitored as part of an integrated treatment plan.
Discharge planning & continuing aftercare support
Planning for life after treatment begins early in each client's stay. Our Career Center offers everything from assisting in job placement to helping someone go back to school. Beit T'Shuvah is dedicated to providing support to help ensure clients are set up for their futures after treatment. Our Housing Coordinator helps clients find safe housing that will provide lasting recovery and support after their Beit T'Shuvah journey.
Family therapy & relationship counseling
Guided by a Marriage and Family Therapist, clients and their loved ones rebuild trust, improve communication, and address the impact that gambling has had on their relationships through ongoing family and couples counseling sessions.
Family education programming
Family members learn how gambling disorder develops, what recovery involves, and how to offer support while maintaining their own well-being
12-Step recovery
The 12 Steps are integrated into daily life at Beit T’Shuvah, providing residents with a proven framework for recovery and a lasting support network beyond treatment. Clients are also taken to multiple outside meetings a week to build their larger recovery network.
Case management and care coordination
A dedicated case manager coordinates all aspects of care, including clinical services, insurance, legal, employment, and family matters, so residents can stay focused on recovery.
