Women (and men) for a Cause
The Beit T’Shuvah Sisterhood is a collective presence of women and men from our temple who come together in fellowship to benefit our unique congregation.
Our objective is to support our temple and community, serve our recovering addicts, and enrich our lives through personal growth and friendship.
Journeying together, we are dedicated to engaging in the pursuit of Gemilut Hasidim (Acts of Kindness), Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World), Tzedakah (Righteousness), and of course, “Friendraising”! Our meetings are held on the first Sunday of every month.

What Does The Sisterhood Do?
The Sisterhood is dedicated to primarily raising funds for the residents of Beit T’Shuvah, a spiritual congregation and non-profit addiction treatment center.
For the congregation, we offer a friendly, welcoming face at weekly temple services and an invitation to join us in creating a special bond with all of our sisterhood members. We encourage the community to interact with the residents.
For the residents, we sponsor a festive Chanukah Party, Comedy Show, decorating the sukkah for Sukkot, Holiday Boutique, Fashion Show and a pre-marathon dinner. We also cheer on the runners the day of the L.A. Marathon. Additionally, we provide weekly sobriety birthday cakes. Some of our exciting upcoming projects include a resident/community cookbook, educational opportunities, art and garden projects. There are many ongoing things we are planning. We are always open to ideas!
