 Welcome to the Career Center

At Beit T’Shuvah, we believe recovery isn’t just about getting sober—it’s about rebuilding a life that feels worth living. That’s where the Career Center comes in!

As part of our long-term, residential treatment program, the Career Center helps residents begin the process of reintegrating into the world beyond treatment. Our focus is on sustainability—helping our residents not only stay sober, but also build the skills, confidence, and support networks they need to thrive long after they leave our doors. Recovery may happen one day at a time, but our goal is to help clients lay the groundwork necessary to turn those days into weeks, months, and even years of purpose driven life.

Recovery Meets Real-World Readiness

Addiction often strips people of the structures that make daily life possible—jobs, education, housing, and a sense of purpose. Facing the task of rebuilding these pillars can be overwhelming, especially when faced alone. That’s why the Career Center exists: to guide our clients through this process step by step, offering personalized support, resources, and mentorship every step of the way.

During their time at Beit T’Shuvah, residents work closely with our team to:

Secure internships within Beit T’Shuvah itself, developing work habits, gaining experience, and giving back to the community that supports them. We offer internships in departments ranging from our development office to the maintenance department to our clinical team! Residents are paired with a department that can help them build on their existing talents and teach them transferable skills for their chosen career outside of rehab.

Find outside employment that aligns with their stage in recovery—jobs that build confidence and financial independence without compromising sobriety. Some clients already have a career and want to learn how to integrate recovery into their lives, while others want to pursue completely new passions. No matter the circumstances, the Career Center helps clients polish their resumes, practice interviewing skills, and secure job placements.

Pursue educational goals, from finishing high school diplomas to enrolling in college or vocational programs. We help clients connect to the scholarships, grants, and resources needed to help them achieve their goals. Education can open all kinds of doors, and the Career Center gives clients the keys to these futures.

Create housing plans for life after treatment- from sober living, to residential bridge housing, to independent living. The Career Center helps clients find housing that is safe, supportive, and within their budget.

A Holistic Approach to Healing

We don’t separate recovery from real life—we integrate it. The work residents do in the Career Center isn’t a distraction from recovery; it is recovery in action. Showing up for a job interview, applying to school, navigating a first paycheck- these moments challenge and reinforce the lessons of sobriety.

At Beit T’Shuvah, we’re not just helping people stop drinking, using, or gambling. We’re helping them reclaim their lives. The Career Center works not as an “exit planning” service, but as an integral part of the recovery journey. We’re not waiting until the final weeks to talk about jobs and housing—we’re walking alongside each resident from the very start, helping them imagine what life can look like, and giving them the tools to start building it. Through the Career Center, we walk with them as they take those first bold, hopeful steps toward a sustainable, meaningful, sober future.

If you’re interested in learning more about how the Career Center supports residents—or how you can help—reach out to us. We’re always looking for new opportunities, mentors, and partners to join us in this mission.
