Russell’s first time at Beit T’Shuvah was for a Friday night service in September 2011. He knew he was home. After a lengthy incarceration, he knew he needed to learn how to live a decent life in a free society. Being a resident of the program for five months, he became an employee in the maintenance department. Since then, Russell has risen in the ranks to his current position of Operations Director. He oversees the compliance efforts with state and federal licensing and regulatory bodies, including the Joint Commission, the Department of Health Care Services, Cal/OSHA, and the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Russell has been working in operations since 2016 and has become very familiar with the intricacies of compliance and regulation. Maintaining Beit T’Shuvah’s current licenses and accreditation allows our doors to remain open to continue providing the life-saving work we get to do on a daily basis.
Russell works to ensure that Beit T’Shuvah remains open, so the next person calling, needing help as he did, will have a place to come to so that they too can have a life worth living. So they too, will know they are home.
